By the time Tosca had finished high school she was already dreaming of moving to Italy to become a fashion photographer, and by the time she had finished art school, she had saved enough money to move to Milan.
Arriving in Italy with nothing but a camera and a lot of determination, Tosca worked with what she had, which was natural light and the instinct to show things as they are. Within a few years Tosca was shooting fashion editorial and advertising campaigns, when an art director noticed her particular ability to capture the most tender of childhood moments, and her career took a dramatic turn.
After six years in Italy, Tosca emerged as a photographer with a deep understanding of light, and stillness, and wonder that has informed her work ever since. Her ability to create luminous images of innocence, and joyful, effervescent moments imbues her photographs with a timeless quality.
Tosca brings this sensibility to everything she shoots, and she brings the viewer into a hidden world of grace filled moments they would otherwise have missed. Never without a camera, Tosca’s discerning eye is always on the lookout for someone or something to celebrate. Tosca lives in Austin, TX with her husband and son.
